Destination Trips
Dusty and Lisa
Wissmath are very pleased to be hosting several destination
trips this year providing a blend of fly fishing education and
experience. Novice or expert, you'll hone your skills on
some of the best fly water in the country and take home
memories that will last a lifetime.
Different types of fishing require different fly fishing
techniques unique to the quarry you are pursuing. Our
destination trips will consist of short, focused on-water
technique seminars to acquaint you with the area, then guided
fishing excursions with local guides to experience true blue
ribbon fly fishing. Please feel free to call Dusty at

Savage River Lodge, Western
Maryland - This year we are
offering a special opportunity for anglers who want to
experience some of the best trout fishing in the
Mid-Atlantic. We are partnering with the
magnificent Savage River Lodge where we will teach seven
of our Introduction to Fly Fishing Classes.
Students will stay at the Lodge in our of their rustic
but decidedly upscale cabins and enjoy gourmet dining in
the award winning restaurant. The first day's
instruction will take place on the Lodge grounds with
the second day on one of the beautiful trout streams in
the surrounding Savage River State Forest. The
Savage River Lodge has been recommended by Conde Nast
Johansens, Southern Living and Wine Spectator magazines.
First class instruction and first class accommodations
will make this a memorable introduction to the sport of
fly fishing.

We are also offering two day guided fishing trips
based at the Lodge which will provide one or two anglers
with some of the best fly fishing this area has to
offer. Dusty will be guiding fishermen on a float
trip on the North Branch of the Potomac River the first
day to fish for trophy rainbow, brown and cutthroat
trout. The second day, Dusty will take you
walk/wade fishing on some of the well-known smaller
rivers such as the Savage, Casselman and Youghiogeny.

Montana
- Nestled in the heart of Montana's finest trout fishing
country is the Upper Canyon Outfitters Ranch. We
will be leading two trips to the ranch this summer to
fish the Ruby river (which runs right through the ranch)
as well as the Madison, Big Hole and Beaverhead.
Jake and Donna McDonald's family has owned the ranch
since 1910 providing true western hospitality with all
of the comforts of home.
The trip will consist of five days of guided fishing
with on-stream instruction in casting, aquatic and
terrestrial insect fishing and nymphing techniques.
Upper Canyon has exclusive access to several blue ribbon
sections of the Ruby in addition to their own water
where you will walk/wade fish for brown, rainbow and
native cutthroat trout. To insure the highest
quality experience, you will be guided by the ranch's
exceptional guides with a maximum client-to-guide ratio
of 2:1. We have also scheduled a float trip for
you on one of the West's unmatched larger rivers in the
area to experience big river fishing at its best.
Evening present the opportunity for casting and fly
tying instruction...or just kick back and relax!
You may even choose to ride horseback one day or go on a
whitewater raft trip. All activities are included
in the price of the trip.
